Howrah Lock Industries

Howrah Lock Industries is located over at 125 Netaji Subhas Road. If you come by, you have to head up to the third floor and look for room number 27A. It’s an old building, so the hallway is a bit narrow and the stairs can be a workout if you’re carrying heavy boxes. N S Road is a very loud and crowded place, but once you get up to our floor, it’s a bit more manageable. We deal with all sorts of locks and hardware. The room is pretty much packed with inventory from the floor all the way up to the ceiling. We have rows of shelves filled with brass and steel parts. It’s not a fancy office by any means. It’s just a place where we stock goods and handle orders. We have one old desk and a few chairs that have seen better days. We’ve been operating from this same spot for a long time. Our regulars know exactly where to find us, usually contractors or people who need specific hardware they can't find elsewhere. We spend most of our time checking the stock and talking to suppliers. It’s a bit dusty and the fan makes a lot of noise, but it’s our space. We don't bother with much besides getting the right locks to the right people. It’s simple work and we stay busy with it from Monday to Saturday until the sun goes down.
