Housing Development Limited

Starting a small shop in Kolkata isn't easy, but we've been at 1, Chandra Mohon Sur Lane for a while now. Housing Development Limited is really just a group of us working on local buildings and making sure things get done right. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls, just our spot in West Bengal where the tea is always hot and the phones keep ringing. People come by when they need help with housing projects or just want to see how the work is progressing. It gets noisy sometimes because of the traffic, but that is just part of being in this neighborhood. We deal with all sorts of construction paperwork and daily site visits. Sometimes things go slow because of the rain, but we manage. My uncle started this years ago, and now we just keep the wheels turning. It’s mostly about managing the materials and the guys on the ground. We don't use big words to describe what we do. It is just brick, mortar, and a lot of patience. If you are walking down the lane, you can see our sign tucked away near the corner. We spend most of our time out on the sites anyway, so the office is mostly for sorting through the files and bills. We like staying local because we know these streets like the back of our hands. There is no need for anything more than that.
