Hitech Associates

We've been tucked away in the Kamalaya Centre for quite some time now. If you're looking for Hitech Associates, you have to head up to the first floor and look for Room 31. It’s not the biggest office on Lenin Sarani, but it works for us. Most days start with us opening up the shutters around ten and getting the fans going because the Dharmatala heat can be a bit much. The building itself has seen better days, and sometimes the lift is a bit temperamental, so we usually just take the stairs. It keeps us moving anyway. Being here in 156 A puts us right in the thick of things. There’s always someone coming or going in the hallway. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the desks, handling paperwork and talking to people who drop by. We aren't really into big fancy displays. It’s mostly just us doing what we need to do. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall downstairs when the afternoon slump hits. Dealing with the traffic on Lenin Sarani is just part of the deal of working here. You get used to the constant honking after a few weeks. We like being in this part of town though. It’s central and everyone knows the landmark. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure things get finished. It’s a simple setup and we plan to stay here as long as the rent stays reasonable. There is a small window in the back that looks out over the street, but it's usually too dusty to see much.
