Hirakund Industrial Works Ltd.

We are Hirakund Industrial Works Ltd., based out of Kolkata. Our office is located at 32B/1A on Haramohan Ghosh Lane. If you know the 700 085 area, you know it's a bit of a maze of streets around here. We have been in this spot for a long time. The building shows its age, but it’s sturdy and serves us well enough for our needs. It’s a typical Kolkata neighborhood, very lively and crowded almost every day. We do our industrial work from here, mostly managing the back-end side of things and the accounts. There are always people moving about in the lane, selling things or just passing through. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything. Just the address painted on the door. Inside, it's mostly desks piled with folders and a few old fans spinning to keep us cool. We have a small staff that has been together for years. We know each other's families and how everyone takes their tea in the afternoon. It's not a corporate environment at all. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day. Sometimes the rains make it hard to get to the office because the lanes flood, but we usually manage to get inside. It’s a practical way to run a business. We don't spend money on things we don't need. The work is steady and it keeps us busy. We like being part of the local fabric of this city.
