We are located at BB 8/3 in Deshbandhunagar, over in the Baguiati area of Kolkata. It’s a lively neighborhood, and our spot for Hindustan Sanitaryware &Inds. Ltd. fits right into the mix. The humidity here can be something else, especially when we’re moving heavy ceramic fixtures around. We don’t have a big air-conditioned showroom. It’s more of a practical warehouse and office combined into one. We spend a lot of time checking the shipments that arrive from the main factory. Sometimes the traffic in Baguiati makes the deliveries run late, but that’s just life in Kolkata. We have a routine here that works for us. We start early, get the tea going, and then start looking at the order sheets. The shelves are packed with all sorts of things like taps, basins, and commodes. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We aren't a corporate bunch with a lot of rules about how we talk. We just speak plain English and get to the point. Most of our customers are locals or contractors who have been coming to us for years. They know we’re just regular people doing a job. We don’t have any grand plans to change the world. We just want to make sure the right bathroom stuff gets to the right place on time. It’s a simple business, really, and we like the community here.
