Hindustan Motors Ltd

Out in the village of Kulakash, things move at a different pace. Hindustan Motors Ltd has its presence here in this part of Hooghly, and it feels very local. We are surrounded by a bit more green than our city offices. The air is slightly better, but the work is still hard. We deal with a lot of mechanical bits and pieces. The building we use is pretty basic. It gets hot under the roof in the summer, so we keep the doors wide open. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. People in the village and the nearby post office area know who we are. They see us arriving on our cycles or scooters every morning. We do things the old-fashioned way mostly. If a tool is blunt, we sharpen it. If a shelf is loose, we nail it back up. We aren't worried about looking professional in a corporate sense. We just want the work to be solid. Sometimes the goats from the neighborhood wander near the entrance, and we have to shoo them away. It's just part of the day. Working in Hooghly means you understand the rhythm of the seasons and the local holidays. We are just a group of people who know motors and like living out here. There’s no big mystery to it. We just open up the doors and see what the day brings, then we get to work on whatever is waiting.
