Hindalco Industries Ltd.

We are based at 1 Parfulla Chandra Sen Sarani, though most people around here still call it Middleton Street. It’s a central spot in the city. Hindalco Industries Ltd. has been here for a good while. The building has a lot of history and you can feel it when you walk through the halls. It’s not like those new glass towers you see popping up everywhere else. We have our desks and our files, and we just go about the business of the day. The street outside can get really loud with all the traffic and people walking to the metro or the bus stops. Sometimes it takes a while just to get into the entrance because of the crowd. We aren't doing anything flashy here. It is mostly just a lot of coordination and making sure the numbers and reports are right. We have staff who have been with us for decades, seeing the street change over the years. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is good because it gets quite humid outside in the summer. We drink a lot of tea and stay busy with the paperwork. It’s a solid place to work and everyone knows their role. We don't spend much time worrying about how things look to outsiders. We just want to make sure the operations keep running smoothly from this old office. It’s just how we do things here and we don't feel the need to change much.
