Hicraft Leather International

We are based at 31, Elliot Road. Hicraft Leather International is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s an old building, but it has plenty of space for all the leather we keep around. You can usually smell the materials as soon as you step inside the door. It’s a hardworking environment, not some shiny showroom. We’ve got benches covered in tools and rolls of leather tucked into every corner. Elliot Road is a good place to be, though parking can be a real headache some days. We don’t worry too much about having a perfect office. Most of the guys are busy cutting or stitching throughout the day. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We’ve been at this address for a long time, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. But inside these walls, things stay pretty much the same. We just focus on the leather and making sure everything is handled right. There’s always a lot of dust and scraps on the floor by the end of the shift. We just sweep it up and start again the next morning. It’s not a complicated life. We just take the materials we have and turn them into whatever needs making. Hicraft Leather International is just a group of us working hard on Elliot Road. We like it that way. We'll probably be here for many more years to come doing exactly this.
