Ezra Street is one of those places where there’s always something happening. We’re at number 55, up on the first floor. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets with all the shops and stalls. It’s an old building, so the walls have some character, to put it nicely. We’ve been operating out of here for a while. It’s mostly paper work and phone calls during the day. The street below is famous for its lights and electrical stuff, but we just stay upstairs and do our thing. The stairs are narrow and you have to watch your step. We have a small team, and we’ve all been together long enough that we don’t need to say much to get things done. It gets quite hot in the summer months, especially with the old wiring in this part of town. We try to keep the space organized, but with all the files and samples, it’s a constant battle. Sometimes we go downstairs for a quick snack from the vendors. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you aren’t local. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights. Just a door with our name on it. Most of our day is spent coordinating things over the phone or replying to emails. It’s a practical way to run a business without too much fuss. We just focus on the task in front of us until it's time to lock up and head home.
