Gujarat Ambuja Cement

Operating out of Kolkata is a bit different than the other locations. We are based on Garia Station Road, specifically in House Number Q18 in the Garia Srinagar area. It’s a busy part of the city, especially with the station nearby. You can hear the trains and the traffic pretty much all day long. Gujarat Ambuja Cement is the company name on the paperwork, but we are just the local crew handling the East side. The building isn't new, and it has that classic Kolkata feel to it. We deal with a lot of supply questions and logistics for the local market. It gets very humid in the summers, and the fans are always on high. We aren't doing anything flashy here. Most of the day is spent on the phone or checking delivery logs. It’s a straightforward job. Sometimes the rains make it hard to get things moving, but we do what we can. We’ve been at this location for a bit, so the neighbors know us. It’s a small office where everyone knows each other’s business. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us trying to keep the cement moving to where it needs to go. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. The station road is always humming with noise, but after a while, you just stop noticing it. We keep a small kettle for tea.
