Our spot is at 657 Vivekanondo Road Extension, over in West Rajapur Baghajatin. Kolkata is a city that never really stops, and Baghajatin has its own rhythm. We deal with logistics from this office. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but we like it here. The space is filled with desks and a few old chairs for visitors. We spend our days coordinating where goods need to go. Kolkata traffic is famous for being difficult, so a lot of our time is spent trying to find the best times for trucks to move. It takes a lot of patience to work in logistics here. We are just a group of people who know the local area well. There are no big corporate logos on the walls, just some calendars and notes pinned up. We talk to the loaders and the drivers constantly. Sometimes we have to stay late to make sure a delivery arrives where it should. The weather in West Rajapur can get very humid, so the ceiling fans are always on full blast. We just focus on the work. It is about making sure things don't get stuck. We don't promise anything impossible. We just tell people what we can do and then we try to do it. It is a simple way of working that has kept us going for a while now. There is no magic to it, just keeping track of things.
