Godrej Lifespace Store Gariahat

The Godrej Lifespace Store Gariahat is on the first floor of Dakshinapan. The address is 2 Gariahat Road (S) in the Dhakuria area. Being inside the Dakshinapan complex means we are surrounded by all sorts of state emporiums and small shops. It’s a place people come to walk around and spend their afternoons. Our store is up the stairs, so it stays a bit quieter than the main courtyard downstairs. We have different sections set up to show how various pieces might look in a real room. It’s a lot of work to keep everything looking decent because people are always sitting on the sofas or opening the cupboard doors. We don't mind, though. That is what the stuff is there for. Sometimes we have to rearrange the whole floor to make room for new items, which takes a lot of heavy lifting. We are a small group of staff, and we know each other well. We don't use any rehearsed scripts when talking to people. We just answer their questions about the wood or the dimensions. In the evenings, the whole complex gets quite lively with people coming for snacks or to shop for clothes. We stay open until the complex starts to close up. It’s a nice location to work in, especially with the park nearby. We just take things one customer at a time and try to keep the place organized.
