Gnivi Trading (Opc) Private Limited

You can find us on the third floor of a building on Prafulla Sarkar Street in Kolkata. It’s a busy street, like most of this city. We go by the name Gnivi Trading (Opc) Private Limited. Being an OPC means it’s a small operation, mostly run by just one person with a bit of help. We’ve been here in the 700072 area code for a while now. The office isn't anything special, just a room with some desks and a lot of files. We do trading, which basically means we buy things and sell them again. It sounds simple but there is a lot of back and forth involved. The stairs up to the third floor are a bit steep, but you get used to them. We mostly work with local folks but sometimes things come from further away. Kolkata is a good place for a trading business because there is always something moving. We spend our days looking at prices and talking to suppliers. It’s not the kind of job that makes for exciting stories, but it’s what we do. We try to keep things organized, though some days the paperwork piles up more than others. It’s just a regular local business trying to keep things moving. We like the neighborhood, even if it gets a bit noisy with all the traffic outside on Prafulla Sarkar Street. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
