Our spot is tucked away in the Lakeview Housing Complex over in Santragachi, Howrah. If you know the area, it is right there on the Drainage Canal Road at Flat D-3/5. It is a pretty typical place for this part of West Bengal, with the sounds of the neighborhood always in the background. Most mornings start with the usual hustle of people heading out from the complex. We have been here for a bit now, just handling the day-to-day work that comes through the door. The office is not anything fancy, just a practical space where we sit and get things done. Sometimes the humidity really gets to you, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the canal road just right. We usually grab tea from a small stall nearby when we need a break. People often get lost finding the right block because the complex is a bit spread out, but once you find B/1, it is easy enough. It stays pretty busy with the traffic moving toward the station area. We don't have big signs or anything flashy outside. It is just a regular office in a regular residential building. We see the same faces every day, from the local security guys to the neighbors walking their dogs. It feels like a small part of the bigger Howrah life, just tucked away in a corner where the work happens quietly without much fuss.
