Our business, Ghosh & Co, is located right on Dum Dum Road at 14/5, near the Motijhil Bus Stand. If you’ve ever caught a bus there, you’ve probably passed by our door many times. It’s a very busy spot with buses and autos constantly stopping and starting, which creates a lot of noise. We’ve been here at Dum Dum for quite a while now. It’s a working-class neighborhood and we fit right in with the local vibe. We aren't fancy people with big degrees. We just run our business from this location and try to do a good job of it every single day. Most of the time we’re just dealing with the daily grind of orders and customers. The noise from the bus stand is something you just get used to after a week or two; it becomes background music. It’s actually helpful because people always know where to find us when they need something. We don’t have a big team or a lot of corporate rules to follow. It’s just a few of us making sure everything runs smoothly. We spend a lot of time on our feet. Dum Dum Road is always moving, and so are we. We don't really have a lot of time for sitting around or taking long breaks. When people come in, we just talk to them plainly about what they need. There's no sales pitch or anything. We’ve built up a decent reputation just by being here and doing the work.
