Geologist'S Syndicate Pvt. Ltd. is on the first floor of 137, Brb Basu Road. It’s an old building, but it has character. We spend our days surrounded by maps, rock samples, and a lot of specialized equipment that most people wouldn't recognize. The stairs up to our office are a bit steep, so we get our exercise every day. It’s not a quiet place; there’s usually a lot of discussion about survey results or technical data. We’ve got shelves full of old reports that have been around since before I started here. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just focus on the geology side of things and try to be thorough with our data. Sometimes we’re out in the field, and other times we’re stuck here at the desks for weeks. The 1st-floor windows look out over the street, which is always packed with traffic. It can be distracting, but you get used to the noise. We keep things pretty informal among ourselves. If someone brings in snacks, work usually stops for a bit. It’s a small team, and we’ve all been working together for a long time. We just do our job and try to keep the records straight. It’s a niche business, but we enjoy the details of it. Our desks are messy, but our files are mostly in order. That is how we like it here.
