Gayatri Electrical Works

Gayatri Electrical Works is located on S. L. Chatterjee Street, which is in the Nimta area. We are close to the police station, so it’s a pretty well-known part of the neighborhood. The street is narrow, as many are around here, and it’s always filled with the sounds of people talking and scooters zooming by. Our shop isn't very large. It’s packed with wires, switches, tools, and old parts that we might need someday. We spend most of our time fixing things that people bring in or going out to handle jobs nearby. It’s a lot of tinkering and testing. Some days the shop feels very cramped because of all the repairs waiting to be finished. We don’t have a secretary or a computer to track everything. We mostly just remember what needs to be done or write it down on a piece of paper. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. The local residents know they can just walk in and ask for help. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but S. L. Chatterjee Street stays pretty much the same. It’s a busy, lived-in place. We don't put on any acts of being a big company. We are just a local electrical shop that’s been around for a while, doing the work that needs to be done every day.
