Gautam Laboratories

Started at 9A Kali Krishna Tagore Street in Kolkata quite some time ago. This part of the city is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it. We run Gautam Laboratories as a straightforward operation. Mostly, we spend our hours dealing with tests and lab equipment. It isn’t the kind of place with fancy carpets or a front desk person. We usually have boxes piled up near the entrance and the sound of machines running in the back. Sometimes the traffic outside on Tagore Street gets so loud you can’t hear yourself think, but we manage. People from around here know us as the local lab guys. We aren't trying to be the biggest name in town, just trying to get the work done right so we can go home at the end of the day. The building is older, like many in this area of Kolkata, and it has its quirks like leaky taps now and then. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything. It is just a few of us who know how to handle the chemicals and the paperwork. If someone walks in, they usually talk directly to whoever is free. We keep things pretty informal. Most of our days are spent checking samples and writing down results. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. There's usually someone around if you need to drop off a sample or ask a question.
