Garment Care

If you go down Akra Road in Bartala, you’ll find us at X-14. This place, Garment Care, has been here for a while now. It’s a busy road with a lot of trucks and people moving about. We handle a lot of different clothes every day. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough space for all the items we have to look after. The floor is concrete and the shelves are mostly full. We don't really do anything flashy. It’s just us doing the work that needs to be done. The fans hum all day to keep the air moving. Bartala is a hardworking area, and we fit right in with the rest of the shops along Akra Road. We start early when the street is still a bit quiet. By noon, the noise is everywhere. We don't have any fancy office or anything. It's just the workspace where we take care of the garments. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is here. We know most of the people who walk past our door. It’s a simple life. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. Just a local shop on a busy street. We keep our tools ready and we just get through the pile of work. It isn't always perfect, but we do what we can with what we have. It is just a part of the daily grind.
