Leder Land

We've been at 22-B Hazra Road for a good while now. The shop isn't fancy or anything, but it gets the job done. If you walk in, you’ll mostly smell leather right away. We keep a lot of belts, wallets, and bags piled up on the shelves. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in here when a few people come in at once. My desk is usually covered in receipts and scraps of paper. We started out small and just stayed that way mostly. People from around the neighborhood stop by, some just to chat or ask about a repair. The fans hum all day because it gets stuffy in the back. We try to keep things organized, but it’s hard with so many different sizes of jackets and hides. Sometimes the light in the corner flickers and we forget to fix it for a week. It’s just how it is here. Most of the stuff we have is local or brought in from the tanneries. We don't really do big ads or anything like that. Folks find us because they know the address. It’s a bit of a walk from the main crossing but not too bad. We usually close up around eight if the weather is okay. It’s a quiet life mostly, just dealing with leather and regular customers who’ve been coming for years.
