Gannon Dunkerley&Co.,Ltd. is located right here in Bijoy Garh. Our address is 3/32, and we’ve been in this part of Kolkata for a long time. The building is a typical one for this neighborhood. It’s 700032 if you’re looking at the map. We’re not a big flashy corporate office. It’s more like a house that’s been turned into a workplace over the years. We have desks tucked into corners and stacks of papers everywhere. The streets outside are usually full of people and small shops. You can hear the city noises all day long. We don’t mind it. It’s better than being stuck in some sterile office park far away. We do a lot of engineering work and project management from this small base. Sometimes the ceiling fan squeaks, but it keeps the air moving. We don't have a big team in this specific office, just enough to keep the operations running. Most of the people working here live close by. We walk to the local stalls for snacks in the evening. It’s a very local feel. We don’t do much advertising. People know who we are by word of mouth or because they’ve seen our name on various construction sites around the city. We just try to get the work done right without making a big fuss about it. The office stays open until late most nights when there’s a deadline. That’s just life in Kolkata for us and we've gotten used to it.
