We are Gannon Dunkerley & Co. Ltd. and our office is at 1/44, Sree Colonu in Regrnt Estate. Being in Kolkata means there is always a lot of energy and sometimes a bit of chaos nearby. The office itself is pretty modest. We’ve got stacks of folders and site drawings everywhere. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at once, but we make it work. Most of us have been working in construction and engineering for a long time. Fancy titles or complicated hierarchies don't really matter here. You just do what needs doing. The local tea stall is where we usually end up for our afternoon breaks. It’s a good place to talk shop and figure out how to solve whatever problem popped up on a site that morning. There isn't a marketing department or anyone to polish up how we look. What you see is what you get. Just a bunch of guys trying to keep projects on track. The fans hum all day to keep the heat down. We deal with the usual stuff like late deliveries and rainy days that slow everything down. It’s just how it goes in this line of work. We’ve been at this address for a good while and the people around here know who we are. It’s a decent living and we stick to the basics of getting the job done.
