At No. 104- M Karunamoyee Ghat Road, near Micheal Madhusudan Park, is where Gallant Equipment Pvt. Ltd. is based. The park is nice to look at, especially when the flowers are out, but we are usually too busy to spend time there. Our building is a bit blocky and plain. Inside, we have rows of equipment that we keep organized by size. The floors are swept every morning but by noon they are covered in footprints again. We have a small desk near the entrance where we keep the logbooks. Everything is written down by hand. The staff mostly wears blue shirts. We have a water cooler that everyone gathers around when it gets really humid. The road outside can get flooded during the heavy rains, so we have to keep things up on pallets. It is a lot of lifting and moving. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow entrance, and we all have to go out and help the driver. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. Most people just know where we are because we’ve been here for years. The air is thick with the smell of the river and the city. It is a basic setup, but it works for us. We just keep track of the stock and make sure things go out on time.
