It is narrow, crowded, and full of life. Our office is right there in the middle of it all, inside an old building with high ceilings and thick walls. It’s a bit of a maze to get to us, but once you’re inside, it’s a hive of activity. We deal with logistics, which in this part of the city means navigating some very tight spaces. There’s always the sound of hand-pulled carts and rickshaws outside. Our office isn't modern by any stretch. We have old fans that creak and desks that have been here since we opened. We spend most of our time talking to transporters and checking manifests. It gets quite hot and stuffy in the summer, but we usually have some cold water and tea to get us through. We don't have any flashy advertisements or corporate slogans. We are just local people who know how to get things moved through the city. Most of us eat our lunch together in the back room. It is a very informal atmosphere, but we get the work done. It’s just how things are done on Muktaram Babu Street, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We understand the local rhythm and the way the traffic flows through these narrow alleys.
