Freight Line India Pvt. Ltd. is located at 360/E, Putiary Panchanantala Road, in a ground floor flat. It is a simple setup here in Kolkata. We handle freight and logistics, which mostly means we spend our time on the phone or filling out forms. Being on the ground floor, we see a lot of the street life outside. It’s a regular neighborhood, and we’ve become a part of the local scenery over the years. We don't have a fancy lobby with a receptionist. It's just a few of us in Flat No.2, surrounded by desks and piles of documents. Moving goods across the country is a lot of work. The Kolkata heat can be pretty intense in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day. Sometimes we get deliveries at odd hours, and someone has to be here to sign for them. We deal with trucks and drivers and various shipping schedules. It’s not the kind of job you see in movies. It’s a lot of checking lists and making sure the numbers match up. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The tea stalls nearby are where we usually take our breaks. It’s a practical business, and we just focus on getting the daily tasks done. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the cargo we are responsible for gets to where it’s going without any major issues.
