I usually start my day with a cup of tea before I dive into the spreadsheets. The traffic on the way to B P Township can be a bit of a nightmare during the morning rush, so I'm glad I work from Shinjini Apartments. It's a residential building, nothing too fancy. My neighbors probably wonder what I do all day in flat 33. Spending a lot of time looking at numbers and documents for various clients is mostly what I do. Sometimes I'm invited to offices to train their staff on how to do things better. This isn't some big firm with hundreds of employees. It's just me. I like it that way because I can talk to people directly without any middleman getting in the way. Kolkata is a city that never really stops, and my work feels a bit like that too. There's always another audit or another workshop to prepare for. Keeping my workspace organized is something I try to do, but it often ends up with piles of papers everywhere. That's just my process. I’ve lived in West Bengal my whole life and started this freelance thing a few years ago. It’s been an interesting journey so far, meeting all sorts of business owners. Some days are slow, others I can barely keep up. I just try to take it one day at a time and do what's needed for the people who hire me. It's a simple life, and I'm happy enough with it.
