Our place is located at 10 Raja Santosh Road in the Alipore area of Kolkata. It’s a nice part of town, quite green and usually a bit calmer than the rest of the city. We are a limited liability partnership, but we mostly just think of ourselves as a small trade office. We deal with various commercial goods, buying and selling wherever there’s a need. The office is pretty basic. We’ve got some desks, a couple of old printers that jam sometimes, and a lot of ledgers. Alipore is a good location for us because it’s easy to get to different parts of Kolkata from here. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just look at the markets and see what makes sense to trade. It’s a lot of looking at prices and talking to people on the phone. We’ve been here at this address for a while now. The building has a bit of an old charm to it. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who have worked together for years. We know the local chai wallah very well. Most of our days are spent checking orders and making sure the billing is correct. It’s honest work. We don't have a fancy mission or anything like that. We just come in, do the work, and go home. Usually, we close up around six in the evening unless there is a very urgent delivery to track.
