Our place is at 28, Q-Road in the Manasatala area of Belgachia. It’s an old part of the city with narrow streets and a lot of history. The building has been around for a long time, and you can tell by the way the walls look. We work on various casting and metal projects here. It is often quite hot inside because of the furnaces and the limited ventilation. We use a lot of traditional methods that we’ve picked up over the years. The street outside is usually busy with pedestrians and small carts. We don’t have much in the way of modern office furniture; it’s mostly just wooden stools and sturdy worktables. Every morning starts with checking the inventory and heating up the equipment. There is a specific rhythm to the work here that hasn't changed much. Sometimes we have to move heavy crates around, which is a workout in itself. We don't have a website or a fancy logo, just the name on the door and the work we do. People in Belgachia know us as the guys who are always covered in soot and sand. It’s tough work, especially in the humidity, but it’s what we know how to do. We usually wrap things up by late evening and head home through the crowded markets. It’s just a basic workshop doing what it can in a busy city.
