Our spot is in the Narayani Building over on 27 Brabourne Road. If you know Kolkata, you know how crazy this area gets during the middle of the day. It’s just constant noise and people moving goods everywhere. We have been operating out of this room for a while, and it’s packed with files and some old furniture that’s seen a lot of use. Trading isn't always glamorous, mostly it's just being on the phone or checking the ledger books. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with fancy suits. Most days it’s just us in shirtsleeves trying to make sure the orders are correct. The building itself is pretty crowded, and waiting for the lift can take forever, so we usually just walk up. There’s a tea seller right outside who makes the best ginger tea, which helps when the afternoons get long. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a small group of us handling the trade business. The walls are covered with calendars and some maps that have been there since we moved in. We focus on the work at hand and try not to get distracted by all the chaos on the street below. It’s a busy life here in 700001, but we like the pace and the fact that everyone knows everyone else in this building.
