If you find yourself on Dr N G Saha Road in Kolkata, you’ll eventually pass by number 52/1. That is where Forbes Infotainment Ltd is based. It’s an old part of the city, and the building reflects that history in its own way. We don't have a giant glass facade or a receptionist sitting behind a high desk. Instead, you just walk in and find us working. The street outside is always full of life, with rickshaws clicking past and people heading toward the market areas. Kolkata has a specific rhythm, and we are very much a part of it here. The air is often heavy with the smell of nearby cooking or the rain when the monsoon hits. Inside, we have our computers and some stacks of paper that seem to never get smaller. It’s not the most modern setup you’ll ever see, but it works for us. We spend our days answering calls, typing away, and occasionally debating where to order lunch from. The walls are a bit faded, and the floor has seen better days, but it’s our home during the week. We don’t try to pretend to be something we aren’t. We are just a local team doing our bit in this corner of West Bengal. It’s a simple operation, and we like it that way because it keeps us close to the ground and the people around us. There’s a tea shop just down the street where we get our morning chai.
