Flexible Hose Industries

Flexible Hose Industries is based on the 12th floor of the Chatterjee International Centre. If you know the area, you know that 33A Jawaharlal Nehru Road is a busy spot with people constantly moving toward the metro or the nearby shops. Being in Suite 11 on such a high floor means we see a lot of the city, though the view is mostly other tall buildings and the hazy skyline. The elevators in this building can be a bit slow during the morning rush, so we usually try to get in early to avoid the crowd. The office itself is a practical space where we handle all the paperwork and coordination for the hoses we manage. It is not a fancy setup with modern art or anything like that. We have our desks, some filing cabinets that have seen better days, and a few chairs for when someone drops by. The air conditioner has a bit of a rattle when it runs, but it does the job during the humid months. Most of our day is spent at the desks or checking on stock levels. The tea stall downstairs is where a couple of us go for a break in the afternoon. It is just a regular workplace where we keep things moving and try to stay organized amidst the general chaos of Kolkata life. We have been in this same suite for a good while now and know the building staff quite well.
