Filcon Electronics Pvt. Ltd. is located at 237/A-5 in the KIADB Industrial Area, Phase III, in Bommasandra. This part of Bangalore is full of tech and manufacturing companies. Our building is a simple concrete structure that houses our assembly lines and testing equipment. Inside, it is very quiet because everyone is focused on small parts and circuit boards. We have benches with soldering irons and magnifying lamps all over the place. It isn't a glamorous job, but it requires a lot of concentration. The commute out to Bommasandra can be pretty long with the Bangalore traffic, so we all start early and try to get home before the rush hits again. We have a small break room where we keep a kettle for coffee. Most of our day is spent looking at components and making sure everything is connected right. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures. We are just a group of technicians and workers who know how to put electronics together. The walls are mostly bare, maybe a calendar or two, because we are more worried about the work than the decor. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it, which can be frustrating. But mostly, it is just a steady rhythm of checking parts and packing them into anti-static bags for shipping.
