We are down on the ground floor of 22 Strand Road. It is an old building, the kind with thick stone walls and really high ceilings. At Festino Marketing Co. Pvt. Ltd., we handle various goods and try to get them into the right hands. Being on the ground floor is very handy for when deliveries arrive throughout the day. We do not have to worry about the elevator breaking down or carrying heavy boxes up the stairs. The office is a bit of a mix of old wooden desks and newer computers. We haven't changed much of the decor since we first moved in. It is a functional space more than anything. Strand Road is always humming with activity, especially being so close to the river. We get a lot of dust blowing in from the street, so we are constantly wiping down the shelves and the desks. We do not have a big corporate structure with managers for everything. We are just a few people who have worked together for many years. We know our suppliers and we know what our customers are looking for. We do not do fancy presentations or slide shows. Usually, we just talk over the phone or meet people for a quick chat near the entrance. It is a very hands-on way of doing business. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several shipments arrive at once, but we just roll up our sleeves.
