Federal Express Corporation

We are over in Kolkata at 51/A/23, Bamacharan Roy Road, which is in the Behala area. It’s a classic Kolkata neighborhood with a lot of character and plenty of narrow lanes. Our office for Federal Express Corporation is right there in the thick of it. We spend our days handling packages and sorting out deliveries for people all over the city and beyond. It can get pretty humid here, so we usually have the fans on full blast while we work. The sounds of the street—horns, people shouting, the occasional trolley—are always in the background. We have a small crew and we all know each other well. It’s not a fancy corporate skyscraper; it’s just a solid building on a busy road. Every morning we check the incoming shipments and start planning the routes. It takes a lot of local knowledge to get around Behala quickly, and luckily our guys have been doing this for years. We don't have any flashy slogans or mission statements posted on the walls. We just have maps and schedules. We take our breaks when we can and usually someone brings in some local sweets to share. It’s a very human way of working. We just want to make sure the boxes get where they need to go without getting lost in the shuffle. It’s a lot of coordination and a little bit of luck with the Kolkata traffic.
