Exide Industries

Over at 52 Work Shop Road in Kanchrapara, that is where you will find this branch of Exide Industries. We’ve been in this part of Dist-24 Parganas for quite a while now. The road can get a bit dusty and the building shows its age, but it’s a solid place to work. We deal with batteries and all the stuff that goes along with that. Most of the guys here have been on the job for years, so we know the routine inside and out. It’s a practical environment. You won't find any plush carpets here, just concrete floors and a lot of heavy lifting. The post office is nearby which is handy for us. Our daily routine is pretty much the same: we get in early, check the stock, and start handling whatever needs to go out that day. Sometimes the heat gets to be a bit much in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going. It’s a local operation in a lot of ways, even if the name on the sign is big. We know the people who live around Work Shop Road and they know us. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just focus on getting the batteries where they need to go. If you need to find us, just head down towards the P. O. area and look for the workshop. We’re usually there until late most evenings just finishing up.
