Executive Dunlop

If you are driving down B T Road in Baranagar, you will find us at Executive Dunlop. We are right at number 240, very close to the old Ananya Cinema. Most people use the cinema as a landmark when they are trying to find the shop. This part of Dunlop is always crowded with people heading towards the bridge or coming into the city. The noise of the trucks and buses on B T Road is something we have just gotten used to over the years. Inside the shop, we have everything laid out as best as we can. It’s not a corporate setup with matching uniforms or anything like that. It’s just us in our regular clothes, working through the day. We’ve seen many businesses come and go in this neighborhood, but we have managed to stick around. The floor is a bit uneven in places, and the ceiling fans make a bit of a humming sound, but it works for us. We open the doors around ten and start checking the books. Some days are packed and we don't even have time to eat lunch properly. Other days, we just stand by the entrance and chat with the shopkeepers next door. It’s a local business through and through. We know the regulars by name and they know us. Being near the cinema means there’s always life on the street, even late into the evening. That’s just how it is here.
