Era Constructions has a spot here in Kolkata, right by Gate No-3 in Motilal Colony. Lakhan Sil is the one you’ll usually find here managing the day-to-day. It’s a busy neighborhood near the Rajbari area. The office is tucked away, and we have a lot of people coming in and out, mostly workers and folks from the building sites. Kolkata can be a tough place to build because of the humidity and the narrow streets, but we’ve been at it for a long time. Our setup is basic—just some desks, chairs, and a lot of paper records. We don't really go for the corporate look. We think it’s better to be practical. Most of our day is spent making sure the materials arrive on time and that the weather isn't ruining the work. We drink a lot of tea while we argue about schedules and costs. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people trying to earn a living. We don't make big promises or use marketing slogans. If we say we’re going to build something, we just go out and do it. The Rajbari area is full of life, and we are glad to be part of it. It’s honest work, and though it gets messy, we stick with it until the job is done. We keep things moving at Motilal Colony and try to solve problems as they come up without any extra drama or complicated words.
