Debendra Ghosh Road is always full of life, with taxis, rickshaws, and people going about their business. We like being in Bhowanipur because it’s got a real soul to it. Inside our space, it’s very basic. We have the usual desks and chairs, and a few cupboards for files. We don’t use any promotional language or try to act like we’re some huge corporate entity. We are just partners working together in a local setting. The office is a bit worn in some spots, but it serves its purpose. We don’t have a mission statement on the wall, we just have a list of things that need to get done before the day is over. It’s a simple, honest way of operating. We usually step out to a local eatery for some lunch and a bit of a break from the work. That’s how we’ve been doing things for a long time. It’s just us, at number 13, doing our thing in the middle of a busy Kolkata street.
