If you find yourself on H.B. Path, look for number 28/1 and that’s where you’ll find Emc Ltd. We have a fairly modest setup here. It’s just an old building where we’ve been operating for a while. The street is usually quite busy, with people rushing to their own jobs, but once you step inside, it’s just the sound of a few keyboards and the ceiling fan. We aren't a big corporation with thousands of employees; we are just a dedicated team trying to get through the daily pile of work. Most of us have been working together for so long that we don't even need to talk much to know what needs doing. We handle a lot of logistics and technical stuff, so there are always stacks of papers and technical manuals lying around. It might look a bit messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. We don't put on airs here. No one wears a tie unless there’s a really big meeting, which doesn’t happen often. We mostly just drink our tea and focus on the screens. When the rains come, the roof sometimes leaks a tiny bit near the back window, but we just move the desk. It’s a real place with real problems and real people. We just want to do our bit and go home to our families at the end of the shift. No fuss, no complications.
