Electrosteel Castings Limited

Down here on Banarasi Ram Srimoni Ghat Road, things move at their own pace. We are the Electrosteel Castings Limited crew based out of North 24 Parganas, right near the B.D. Sopan area. It is a busy part of Kolkata, especially with the 700 116 zip code traffic. We spend our time dealing with heavy iron and steel pieces, mostly casting work that takes up a lot of space in the yard. The building has seen a lot of years, and it shows, but it works for what we do. You will usually find us handling orders or checking on the inventory that comes in and goes out. It isn’t the kind of place with a lobby or anything like that. It is more about the grit and the heat of the work. Sometimes the humidity makes the shop floor feel heavy, but we just get on with it. We’ve been part of the neighborhood for quite some time now. People stop by when they have a specific need for the kind of ironware we handle. We don’t have any big speeches to give about what we do. It is just basic labor and making sure the castings are solid. Most of us have lived around here our whole lives, so we know the local roads like the back of our hands. We aren't trying to impress anyone, just doing the jobs as they come through the gate each morning until it's time to head home.
