Eastern Coal Field Limited

Our office is on Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road in Kolkata, right at number 32/1. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded and there is a lot of traffic. It’s an old part of the city with a lot of history. We are on one of the floors there, just doing our thing with the coal field business. It’s a lot of paperwork and coordinating with the sites. The building isn't new, it has those thick walls and high ceilings you see in the older WB 700016 buildings. We don't have fancy decorations or anything. Just our desks, some old files, and a lot of tea being drunk throughout the day. People come and go. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it feels like the heart of things. We’ve been here a long time. You can hear the trams and the cars honking outside all day long. Sometimes the electricity acts up, but we just keep going. It’s a very typical Kolkata office experience. We don't go in for anything flashy. We just focus on the task at hand. It’s honest work and we like being in this part of town despite the noise. There is a lot of energy on this road and it keeps us moving. We are just part of the everyday life here. It keeps us grounded. No one bothers with corporate talk here; we just deal with the realities of the business.
