Durha Components Pvt. Ltd. operates out of 23 B.L.C. Mill, located on a by-lane in Mahesh, Serampur. This is in the Hoogly district of West Bengal. The area has a lot of history with mills and old industry. Our workspace is part of that landscape. It is not a new building. It has thick walls and a bit of that old industrial smell to it. The by-lane is quiet compared to the main roads, which helps us stay focused on our work with various components. We don't have a fancy lobby or a bunch of signs pointing the way. You just find the mill area and look for our section. Inside, it is all about the parts we handle. We have shelves that go up to the ceiling, filled with all sorts of items. Serampur is a good place for us because it feels connected to the past while we still do our daily business. The commute can be a bit of a crawl depending on the train schedules, but we make it work. We drink a lot of tea while we go over the spreadsheets and the shipping lists. It is basic work, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We are just a small team in Hoogly keeping the business going, one day at a time, in a space that has seen a lot of years.
