D.R.B Nidhi Limited

Out here in Simuliapara, things move a bit slower than the city. We are located at Ramendranath Biswas’s place in Chandpara. It’s tucked away in North 24 Parganas, postcode 743245. Most people around here know the way once they get to the village. We started D.R.B Nidhi Limited because there was a need for it. There isn't much to say about the building itself, it is just a normal spot where we get our work done. We handle the local accounts and talk to the farmers and residents who stop by. It gets dusty in the summer and a bit muddy when the rains start, but we keep the doors open. We spend a lot of time looking at ledgers and making sure everything matches up. It is mostly local faces coming in to chat about their savings or what they need for the next month. We don't have fancy computers or a big staff. It is just a few of us making sure the numbers are right. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot of paperwork to finish. You’ll probably see us sitting outside when the weather is nice. This part of West Bengal is quiet, and we like it that way. We aren't trying to be anything huge. Just a small office in the village doing its part for the community here day after day.
