We are tucked away on the 10th floor of Delta House, specifically in Chamber 6. It’s right near the Great Eastern Hotel, which is how most people find us when they’re headed toward the Calcutta GPO area. Being up on the 10th floor means it’s a bit quieter than the streets below, which is nice when we’re trying to focus on furniture designs. Dovetail Furniture Pvt Ltd isn't some massive factory; it’s more of a professional space where we handle the details. We spend a lot of our time looking at wood samples and sketches. Getting to the office can be a bit of a wait for the lift during lunch hours, but we’ve gotten used to it. The area around Govt Place has so much history, and we like being part of that. We do a lot of work for local offices and homes. It’s not just about selling a table; it’s about making sure it actually fits the room. We don’t go in for those big glossy catalogs. Most of our clients come to us because they’ve seen our work somewhere else. We keep things pretty straightforward here. No corporate talk, just talk about joints, finishes, and what kind of timber works best for the climate. It’s a small team, and we all pitch in with everything from answering the phone to checking the final polish on a piece before it leaves the chamber.
