Our address is G-350, Mehar Manzil, on Garden Reach Road in Kolkata. Even though the name mentions Qatar, this is where we are actually located in West Bengal. Garden Reach is a crowded part of the city, and the road outside is always full of trucks and people heading toward the docks. Mehar Manzil is an older building with a lot of character, and we occupy a small section of it. The rooms have high ceilings, and we have the windows open when the weather allows, though the noise from the street can be a lot. We do a lot of coordination here, mostly involving construction and engineering projects. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. The office has that old Kolkata feel to it, with wooden desks and paper files everywhere. We don't go in for modern office furniture. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. Most of us have been working together for years, so we know how each other likes to get things done. We drink a lot of tea throughout the day while we go over the schedules and the technical drawings. It’s a busy spot in a busy city, and we just try to keep our heads down and get the paperwork sorted for whatever project is currently on the go. There are always people coming and going from the port area nearby, so it never gets boring around here.
