D.M.Clearing Corp. has been located on Cossipore Road for a long time. Our address is 6/25, right in the heart of Kolkata. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always trucks and noise from the road. We spend our days dealing with customs and clearing goods, which means plenty of forms and stamps. It can be a bit repetitive, but someone has to do it. The office is functional, nothing too pretty to look at. We have old desks and a lot of filing cabinets that are probably too full. It gets pretty dusty with all the traffic outside, so we’re always cleaning off the monitors. We aren't a big fancy corporation with a marketing team. We’re just local people who know how the port and the clearing process work. Sometimes the rules change and we have to figure it out on the fly. It keeps things interesting, even if it’s a bit frustrating at times. We’ve known the people around here for years. It’s a tight-knit community of workers and businesses. We show up early, get through the manifest, and make sure things don't get stuck at the docks. It’s a simple life, and it keeps us busy. We like being part of the history of this road.
