Disha Motors

Disha Motors is situated over on Tollygunge Circular Road in New Alipur. We are right at number 33, and if you can find the Mahavirtalla Petrol Pump, we are basically right beside it. Having the petrol pump next door means there’s a constant stream of cars and motorbikes passing by our front all day long. It’s a noisy spot, but it’s good for a motor business. We usually have a few vehicles parked out front or inside being worked on. There’s always the smell of petrol and old tires in the air. We spend our days under hoods or changing out parts that have worn down. It’s greasy work, and our uniforms show it by the end of the shift. The shop floor is often covered with tools that someone forgot to put back in the chest. We try to keep it organized, but when it’s busy, things just end up where they land. We don't have a waiting room with a TV or anything like that. Most people just stand around and chat while we take a look at their engines. New Alipur is a lively part of town, and we’ve been part of this street for a good while. We know the other shop owners nearby and we usually grab tea from the same guy every afternoon. It’s just a normal garage where we do our best to keep things moving on the road.
