Dic India (Formely Coates India)

We are located on Central Road in Jadavpur. This place used to be called Coates India, but we changed the name to DIC India quite a while ago. Even though the name on the sign is different now, the building is still the same one people in Kolkata have known for years. It is an old industrial area, and we fit right in. We deal with inks and coatings, things that most people use every day without thinking about it. The floors in the plant have seen a lot of traffic over the decades. It is not a shiny new office park. It is a place where things actually get made. The smells of the chemicals and the sound of the machines are just part of the daily routine here. Jadavpur is a busy part of the city, so there is always a lot of noise outside our gates. We have a lot of staff who have been with us since the Coates days. They know the machines better than anyone. We do not do much in the way of advertising. Most of our connections are old ones built on years of supplying what is needed for printing. It is a steady kind of life here on 59B. We just keep the production lines moving and try to stay out of the way of the city traffic. It is just a regular workplace doing its part in the neighborhood and we keep it that way.
