Diana Ladies Tailors

Our shop is inside Das Super Market, right on Station Road in Madhyamgram. It’s a convenient spot because it’s close to the train station, so we get a lot of people stopping by on their way home. We specialize in stitching clothes for women, mostly blouses, suits, and dresses. The shop isn't very big, but we have our sewing machines set up along the wall and a small area for measurements. There are usually piles of colorful cloth everywhere and bits of thread on the floor. We try to keep things tidy, but when we’re busy, it’s hard. People come in with their own fabric and their own ideas about how they want things to look. We listen, take down the notes in our old register, and get to work. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait if it's wedding season, as everyone wants their outfits done at the same time. We don't use any fancy computer systems here. Everything is done by hand or on the machines. The light in the market can be a bit dim in the evenings, so we have extra lamps at our stations. It’s a friendly place where customers often stay for a chat while we work. We’ve been at this address for a long time and have seen many regulars grow up and bring their own kids here now.
