Diamond Lamp Manufacturing Industries is situated at 31b, Biplabi Barin Ghosh Sarani, near the DVC in Kolkata. We’ve been making lamps in this corner of the city for quite a while now. The building is an older one, but it serves us well. Inside, you’ll find people assembling parts and checking glass shades. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We aren't some giant automated factory; there's a lot of manual work involved in what we do. The street outside can be quite chaotic with the Kolkata traffic, but inside we try to keep things moving steadily. We make all sorts of lamps, from simple ones for homes to bigger ones for other uses. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or polished websites. Most of our customers find us because they know we're here and they like the lamps we make. Sometimes the glass breaks or the parts don't fit right, and we have to start over. It's just part of the manufacturing life. The office is small and tucked into a corner of the workshop. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the day's production goals. It’s a regular, hardworking environment where we just focus on making lamps that work. We’re happy to be part of the neighborhood and plan to stay here for a long time to come.
